Cairngorm Brewery Installs a Semi Automatic C.I.P (Clean in Place) System for Microbreweries and Other Small Users
Cairngorm Brewery have recently taken delivery of a brand new Semi Automatic C.I.P (Clean in Place) System for microbreweries capable of 150 litres. The system can be adapted to various operating requirements and is designed to enable the cleaning and sterilisation of tanks, piping end equipment without disassembly of any parts or components.
The System is also available in Fully Automatic Version
This assures the following advantages:
- Cleaning of not easily accessible parts.
- No removal of the plant's components is necessary and therefore eliminates risk of contact with any chemical solution.
- The risk of product contamination is practically eliminated as there is no need to disassemble any components of the plant.
- The whole process of sterilisation is effortless, operator friendly and easily repeated.
- The recovery of the chemical solutions minimises the consumption of water and the cost reduction in terms of purchase of chemicals and discharge taxes is considerable.
Other characteristics:
- Construction in stainless steel AISI 304 (AISI 316 suitable for cider, milk and proteins is available upon request)
- The tanks can be built in the following sizes: 150-250-500-1000 litres each
- Standard systems produced with 3 tanks, centrifugal pumps for the sending and recovery of the following solutions:-caustic,-phosphoric acid-,water/sterilising. Alternatively on request it can be produced as 1, 2, 3 & 4 tanks versions.
- Caustic soda tank supplied with insulation and electric double coil heating
Additionally the C.I.P can be:
- Manual where the cleaning process is managed completely by the operator
- Semi-automatic , where selection of the cleaning cycle is manual with automatic time management of treatment
- Automatic: with automatic management (through PLC) of the CIP process.
